How to Make Punjabi Sarson ka Saag
Add all the three green saag leaves- sarson, palak and bhathua, salt and green chillies into a pressure cooker & cook over low heat for 1 1/2 hours.
Mash saag in the cooker using hand blender until coarsely ground, and add makki ka atta (corn flour) and stir.
Put the mashed saag again over slow fire and cook until saag gets thick.
For tadka, add ghee or butter in a pan and add methi dana. Cook until it cracks. Add chopped ginger, garlic, onions and saute until onions are light brown. Season with red chilly powder and garam masala.
Now add saag to the tadka and mix well. Garnish with thin slices of ginger, onion and butter or ghee.
