Paneer Spring Rolls Recipe

Paneer Spring Rolls Recipe- Paneer spring rolls  is a mouth watering starter perfect for your party or evening snack. Deep fried all purpose/ wheat flour chapati filled with paneer, onion and tomato is a quick starter idea that kids will also love to have in their lunch pack.

Here I have used wheat flour to avoid maida intake and move to the healthier side of recipe. Wheat flour can be easily replaced with all purpose flour. Also you can try vegetable spring roll.

Ingredients-

Wheat flour/All purpose flour- 1 bowl

Paneer-50 gm

Onion-1 small

Tomato-1small

Salt-to taste

Red chilly flakes-to taste

Coriander powder-1 tea spoon

Garam masala-1 tea spoon

Chaat masala-1 tea spoon

Water-for kneading the dough

Vegetable Oil-for frying

 

Method-

  1. Mix flour, salt, 1 spoon of oil and water to knead the dough. Keep the dough aside.

  2. For filling, cut onion, tomato and cottage cheese into slices and season the filling with salt, chilly flakes, coriander powder, garam masala, chaat masala.Exif_JPEG_420
  3. Rub the filling masala roughly with fingers to mix it well.
  4. Take small balls of dough and make thin chapattis of around 6-7 inch diameter.Exif_JPEG_420
  5.  Put 1 big spoon of the filing on chapatti and roll it. Seal the corners and end of the roll.Paneer Spring Rolls
  6. Similarly make all the rolls and sprinkle dry flour on them.Exif_JPEG_420
  7. For frying, heat oil  in a deep pan and at medium low flame fry ready rolls 2 0r 3 at a time.Paneer spring roll
  8. Fry from all the sides at low flame to cook them from inside too.Paneer spring rolls

Aloo Pyaz PakoraAloo Pyaz Pakora Recipe- Tradition crispy Aloo-Pyaz pakora is a simple house hold recipe cooked in every Indian house. Pakoras are one of the most favorite and frequently made dish for all especially in winters and monsoon.

I have tried to give a twist in the usual pakora recipe by cutting down all the chutneys and introducing flavored mayonnaise dip. You can also try any other chutney in Mayonnaise like- dhania chutney, imli chutney, etc.

 

Ingredients-

Gram flour (besan)- 1 bowl

Onion-2 pc

Potato-2 pc

Mayonnaise-4 spoon

Ketcup-1 spoon

Garam masala-1 tea spoon

Pepper powder-1 tea spoon

Salt-to taste

Red chilly powder-to taste

Oil- to fry

 

Method-

  1.  For making dipping sauce, take a bowl and mix mayonnaise, ketchup, salt and pepper powder and keep it aside.
  2. Add gram flour, salt, red chilly powder and garam masala in an open bowl and mix well.pakora
  3. Add required water to make medium consistency batter. Batter should be on thicker end for better frying.pakora
  4. Peel off onion, potato and cut in round shape. Onion can be shaped as rings.
  5. Heat oil in a deep frying pan and let oil to become very hot. Now dip potato pieces and onion rings in ready gram flour batter and fry in hot oil.Aloo Pyaz Pakora
  6. Remove from pan when they turn brown and place in a serving dish.

Aloo tikki kathi RollAloo Tikki Kathi Roll- Wheat flour/All purpose flour thin chapatti made up by filling creamy mayonnaise, butter and tikki.  Tikki Kathi Roll is a healthy and quick breakfast idea in your busy schedule for you and your kid. Here I have used wheat flour and Aloo tikki which can be easily transformed using dalia tikki to move to the healthier side of dish. I my self love Kathi rolls and make them in variety of ways to pack it as lunch for my daughter.

You may also try Paneer kathi roll

 

Ingredients-

Wheat flour/All purpose flour- 1 bowl

Tikki- 2 pc (Aloo tikki, Dalia tikki, Hariyali tikki, vegetable tikki, or any as per your taste)

 

Mayonnaise-2 spoon

Ketcup-1 spoon

Butter 2 spoon

Salt-to taste

Red chilly flakes-to taste

Garam masala-1/2 tea spoon

Chaat Masala-1/2 tea spoon

Oil- 1 spoon

Water-for kneading the dough

 

Method-

  1. Mix wheat flour (or maida or you can mix both in equal proportion), salt, melted butter and water to knead the dough. Keep it for 10 minutes. (You can also use already kneaded atta dough also)
  2. Meanwhile, roughly crush the tikkis in a bowl and add mayonnaise, ketchup. Season with salt, chilli flakes, chaat masala and garam masala.Aloo tikki kathi Roll
  3. Take small balls of dough and make thin chapattis of around 6-7 inch diameter.
  4. Heat the flat pan and half cook each chapatti from both sides at low flame. Pour few drops of oil occasionally.
  5. Coat one side of chapati with ketchup and mayonnaise. Put 1 big spoon of the tikki filing on half cooked chapatti and roll it tightly.Aloo tikki kathi Roll
  6. Now brush little oil on the ready rolls and shallow fry on tawa or you can grill it for 1-2 minute.Aloo tikki kathi Roll

Dalia Tikki, Dalia Cutlet, Dalia PattiesDalia Tikki, Dalia Cutlet, Dalia Patties Recipe- As we know, Dalia is a healthy treat for all. Here I have used dalia for making tikki/cutlet/patty, that can be served as a snack or can be further transformed to make other dishes like Burger, Sandwich, kathi roll, etc. This adds to taste and health both. Dalia Tikki, Dalia Cutlet, Dalia Patties is a healthy breakfast when clubbed with Burger, Sandwich, kathi roll, etc.

 

Ingredients-

Porridge (Dalia)- 1 bowl

Corn flakes-3-4spoons

Boiled potato-1 medium

Onion-1 small

Tomato-1small

Bread- 2 slices

Chaat masala-1 tea spoon

Salt-to taste

Red chilly flakes-to taste

Oil-to shallow fry

Curd-to serve

Imlee chutney/Ketchup-to serve

 

Method-

  1. Soak raw dalia in water for 15 minutes. For quick consumption, you can use warm water.
  2. Drain the water from dalia and make its thick paste in grinder. Keep aside.dalia tikki
  3. Wash and finely chop onion and tomatoes. Mash potatoes, bread slices and corn flakes together.
  4. Add all the above ingredients and season with salt, chilly, chaat masala and mix it well to make dough.dalia tikki
  5. Divide the dough into medium size balls and make patties (tikki) or cutlets or any shape with wet hands.dalia tikki
  6. Heat oil in a flat non-stick pan. Shallow fry all the patties until golden brown from both the sides.

Sweet Corn Vegetable SoupSweet Corn Vegetable Soup Recipe- Clear Corn Vegetable Soup or Sweet Corn Vegetable Soup,  is a Chinese based soup recipe prepared with corn and other chopped vegetables.

Corn soup is a soup made of corn (typically sweetcorn). It was normally made in corn-producing areas of the world, but is now widespread because of greater corn distribution.

This soup is dominated by the crunch of vegetables and the lingering aroma of ginger and garlic sautéd in butter. This is very easy and flavorful soup recipe.

 

Ingredients:

Sweet Corn-100 gms

Carrot-100 gms

Beans-100 gms

Onion-100 gms

Spring onion-50 gms

Water-750 ml

Corn flour-1 table spoon

Butter-1 table spoon

Black pepper powder-1/4 tea spoon

Salt- to taste

 

Method:

  1. Wash and Chop all the vegetables finely. Keep aside.Corn Vegetable Soup
  2. To prepare starch, Mix corn-flour in 2 spoons of water with no lumps. Keep aside.flourmix1
  3. Heat butter and chopped onion in a pan and cook at low flame until it becomes transparent.Corn Vegetable Soup
  4. Now add chopped vegetables (except spring onion) and corns into the pan. Add water and boil.
  5. When vegetables start getting soften, add corn flour mixture. Cook the soup while continuously stirring.Sweet Corn Vegetable Soup
  6. Once it starts getting thicker, Add salt and pepper. Cook for another 3 – 4 minutes and Serve hot with spring onion garnishing.Sweet Corn Vegetable Soup

Dry Chilli MushroomDry Chilli Mushroom Recipe- Hot and Spicy dish full of button Mushrooms combined with onions, tomato and bell pepper is a perfect starter for you and your loved ones. Chilly Mushroom tastes superb with Fried Rice, latchha parantha or Naan or you can just have it as evening snacks. This is a variant recipe in the list of cheese chilli or chilli paneer recipes.

Chilly Mushroom can also be made in Gravy (Chilly Mushroom in Gravy).

 

 

Ingredients:

Mushroom-150 gm

Onion-150 gm

Tomato- 150 gm

Bell pepper-150gm

Ginger & Garlic-25 gm

Green chili-2 or 3

Ketchup- 2 spoons

Soya Sauce-1 tea spoon

Red chili powder-1 tea spoon

Coriander powder-1tea spoon

Vegetable oil- 2 spoon

Salt- to taste

 

Method:

  1. Wash all the vegetables and cut mushrooms, onions, tomato and pepper into cubes of approx. 1 inch. Keep it aside.chilli mushroom
  2. Heat a spoon of vegetable oil in a frying pan, and add onions and pepper to the pan.Cook the veggies at medium heat while stirring occasionally.chilli mushroom
  3. Once the pepper gets softer, add mushrooms and tomatoes to the pan and stir. Sprinkle shredded green chili, ginger, garlic and other dry ingredients onto the vegetables.chilli mushroom
  4. Keep stirring slightly until vegetables turn golden brown. Now add ketchup and soya sauce.chilli mushroom
  5. Mix well at high flame and cook for 1 minute. Turn off the flame and serve hot with fresh green coriander garnishing.dry chilli mushroom

Cheese Chilly GravyChilli Paneer Gravy Recipe-This is a popular melt in the mouth Indo-Chinese snack. This paneer chilli recipe is Shallow fried Paneer cubes in hot and spicy masala. It is a veg version of chilly chicken. This melt in the mouth starter flavored with all the ethnic Chinese flavors is really easy to prepare. Serve it as a starter or evening snacks or as a main course.

Indo-Chinese food is a delicious mix of flavours from Chinese and Indian cuisine. Chilli Paneer Gravy is basically a stir fry of cottage cheese cubes with green capsicum, chillies, onion, garlic and delicious Chinese sauces. A perfect cocktail party recipe that pleases will please everyone right from the kids to the grownups. You can even turn this starter into dry version (Chilli Paneer Dry).

 

Ingredients:

Paneer-250 gms

Tomato-250 gms

Green bell pepper- 250 gms

Onion-250 gms

Vegetable oil- 2 table spoon

Red chilly powder- 1 tea spoon

Coriander powder-1 tea spoon

Garam Masala-1 tea spoon

Flour-1 spoon

Ketchup-2 table spoon

Soya sauce-1 teaspoon

Water-1/2  cup

Salt- to taste

 

Method:

  1. Cut onion, tomato, pepper and paneer in cubes (aprox. 1inch) and keep it aside.
    Cheese Chilly Gravy
  2. Heat a spoon of oil in non-stick pan and add pepper. Stir fry the pepper cubes to make it softer first and then add other other veggies to the pan. Cook until it starts getting brown.
  3. While cooking on low flame, season with salt, chilli powder, garam masala and coriander powder. Add soya sauce and ketchup.
  4. Meanwhile mix flour in water and make a thin paste.flourmix1
  5. Add the flour and water mixture to the pan and cook at high flame.Cheese Chilly Gravy
  6. Cook the chilli paneer until the gravy gets thicker and blends with vegetables. Close the flame and serve hot with naan or parantha or just as a snacks.Cheese Chilly Gravy

Creamy Corn Soup

Creamy Corn Soup is a Chinese based soup recipe prepared with corn and milk. Creamy Corn Soup is very easy and simple thick soup rich in nutritional values. Adding milk makes this recipe flavorful recipe full of creamy texture.

Corn soup can also be made with vegetables-clear corn vegetable soup.

 

 

Ingredients:

Sweet corn/Normal corn-100 gms

Onion-50 gms

Water-1cup

Milk-1 cup

Corn flour-1 table spoon

Black pepper powder-1/4 tea spoon

Salt- to taste

 

Method:

  1. Boil corn in water for 5 minutes to get it soft.
  2. Roughly shred the corn kernels with knife.
  3. Use blender or masher to blend 3/4 of kernels to make fine paste.
  4. Heat a spoon of butter in a sauce pan.creamy corn soup
  5. Add chopped onion and cook at low flame till it gets transparent.
  6. Add corn paste and corns to the pan and cook for 2 minutes.
  7. Add a cup of water and milk. Stir continuously.creamy corn soup
  8. Mix corn-flour in 2 spoons of water with no lumps and add the soup.
  9. Once it starts getting thicker, Add salt and pepper.creamy corn soup
  10. Cook for another 3 – 4 minutes and Serve hot with spring onion garnishing.creamy corn soup
