It is a veg version of chilly chicken. This melt in the mouth starter flavored with all the ethnic Chinese flavors is really easy to prepare. Serve it as a starter or evening snacks.

Indo-Chinese food is a delicious mix of flavours from Chinese and Indian cuisine. Chilli Paneer Dry is basically a stir fry of cottage cheese cubes with green capsicum, chillies, onion, garlic and delicious Chinese sauces. A perfect cocktail party recipe that pleases will please everyone right from the kids to the grownups. You can even turn this starter into a main course by thickening the gravy base (Chilli Paneer in Gravy).

Ingredients:

Paneer-250 gms

Tomato-250 gms

Green bell pepper- 250 gms

Onion-250 gms

Vegetable oil- 2 table spoon

Red chilly powder- 1 tea spoon

Coriander powder-1 tea spoon

Garam Masala-1 tea spoon

Ketchup-4-5 table spoons

Soya sauce-1 table spoon

Salt- to taste

 

Method:

  1. Cut onion, tomato, pepper and paneer in cubes (aprox. 1 inch) and keep it aside.
  2. Heat a spoon of oil in non-stick pan and add pepper. Stir fry the pepper cubes to make it softer first and then add other other veggies to the pan. Cook until it starts getting brown.
  3. While cooking on low flame, season with salt, chilli powder, garam masala and coriander powder. Add soya sauce and ketchup.Chilli Paneer Dry
  4. Stir continuously till all the vegetables get evenly coated with sauces and spices.

Ingredients:

 

Cottage cheese/ Paneer-200 gm

Peas/Matar-1/2 kg

Onion-2 Pc

Tomato-2 Pc

Ginger- 1 inch stem

Garlic-4 to 5 cloves

Green Chilly-2 to 3 pc

Cumin seeds-1 tea spoon

Red chilly powder- 1 tea spoon

Coriander powder-1 tea spoon

Turmeric powder-1 tea spoon

Garam Masala-1 tea spoon

Fresh coriander leaves- 1/4 bunch

Salt- to taste

Sugar-1 tea spoon

 

Method:

  1. Cut paneer into cubes and peel off peas to get seeds out of it. It will be about 1 large bowl of pea seeds.
  2. Peel, wash onion and make rough paste of onion, ginger and garlic using a grinder. Similarly make smooth paste of tomato and green chilly. Keep a side.
  3. Finely chop coriander leaves and keep a side for final garnishing.
  4. Heat a spoon of oil in a pressure cooker and add cumin seeds to cook until they crack. Add onion paste and cook at medium flame until it turns to light golden in color.Matar Paneer
  5. Now add tomatoes puree at high flame and stir continuously.
  6. Season the ready masala with salt, red chilly powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder and garam masala. Add a spoon of sugar for balancing the taste of the dish.Matar Paneer
  7. Adding peas seeds at this point and coating them in masala is very important as this makes the peas soft and blend them with tadka.Matar Paneer
  8. Now slowly add paneer cubes and stir slowly at low flame.Matar Paneer

Paneer Tikka Recipe is an Indian dish made from chunks of paneer marinated in spices and grilled in a tandoor. It is a vegetarian alternative to chicken tikka and other meat dishes. Paneer Tikka is liked and served in almost every small or big party as a starter. Marinated cubes of cottage cheese and other veggies.

It is a well balance recipe of grilled crunch outside and softness inside with a mouth watering flavor.  This melt in the mouth starter is really easy and quick to prepare. Serve it as a starter or evening snacks.

 

Ingredients:

Paneer-100 gms

Tomato-100 gms

Green bell pepper- 100 gms

Onion-100 gms

Fresh Coriander leaves-4-5 stems

Curd- 4 tablespoon

Vegetable oil- 1 tea spoon

Red chilly powder- 1 tea spoon

Coriander powder-1 tea spoon

Garam Masala-1 tea spoon

Chaat Masala-1 tea spoon

Ketchup-4-5 table spoons

Salt- to taste

 

Method:

  1. Cut tomato and pepper and remove seeds from both. Cut tomato, pepper, paneer in square cubes (aprox. 1 inch) and keep it aside.
  2. Similarly peel onion and cut into four parts and peel its outer 2 -3 shells.paneer tikka
  3. Take a bowl and mix curd, salt, chilly powder, garam masala, chaat masala, coriander powder. paneer tikka
  4. Add ketchup to the marination bowl and mix well.paneer tikka
  5. Add all the veggies to this bowl and leave it for 10 minutes for marination. Sprinkle chopped fresh coriander leaves and mix well to coat all the vegetables.paneer tikka
  6. Take a toothpick and skew a piece of pepper, cheese, tomato and onion. Similarly skew all the marinated veggies to toothpicks. Place all the toothpicks on grill stand.paneer tikka
  7. Sprinkle a spoon of oil on to the skewed veggies. And place the stand in microwave.
  8. Cook on the grill mode for 10 minutes or until it gets a nice light brown colour. (don’t overcook, otherwise cheese will get tight)paneer tikka
